May 2015 – May Long Edition Newsletter
Isn’t it amazing how quickly the time flies?? Especially when the weather is nice and campers are in full ‘camp mode’. I have a lot of news to share with all of our subscribers this month as it’s been a little longer than I would like since I last sent an email newsletter out.
First and foremost, today begins the RV Care National Sales Event during which you can save up to 60% on parts and supplies for your RV from now until May 18th. You can view the sale flyer beginning today on our website or our Facebook page.
Today also marks the beginning of ‘Ultimate Month’ at Pik-A-Dilly RV Centre. With any RV purchased during the month of May, you’ll receive the Ultimate Camping Accessory package on pick up of your RV. This is a parts and accessory package worth upwards of $1200 and covers pretty much anything and everything you’ll need to entertain and relax at your campsite. We have all of the contents of the Ultimate Package on display in our showroom along with the brand new 2015 Keystone Laredo LHT 30BH (see floor plan below), which is Laredo’s trek into the world of lightweight RV’s with an upscale feel to them. It has to be seen to be appreciated, and it’s open and on display in our showroom now.
This weekend we will be hosting an unadvertised open house event on Friday and Saturday as a kick off to the month of May. All new and used RV’s on our lot will be unlocked for your leisurly viewing, as well we’ll be accepting ballots all month long for a draw for a pair of VIP weekend passes to Dauphin’s Countryfest, complete with a reserved camping spot. So be sure to stop in and have a look around, but don’t forget to drop your name in the draw drum. When end of business on May 30th rolls around it could be your name we pull as the recipient of the $1100+ weekend package!!
For those of you who scan the online ads, you may have noticed that there have been a few job postings recently to join the Pik-A-Dilly family. We have had some job transitions with staff moving for other opportunities as well as an upcoming, fast approaching retirement. I’m happy to announce that we have added some fresh, new faces to our family here and will be introducing them through the newsletter as we get deeper into the season. In keeping with the staff changes, and partially explaining the delay in this newsletter, my wife, Kelly, and I welcomed perhaps a future owner of Pik-A-Dilly RV Centre into the Pik-A-Dilly/Main family about 5 weeks ahead of schedule with the birth of Alexander Frank Main on April 3rd. Mother and son are doing extremely well and, after a short stint at the NICU here in Brandon, are now settling in at home.
We’re going to end this month’s newsletter on a sad note. I have struggled with how to convey this news to our extended family and friends, but over the holiday season we lost a long time member of our Pik-A-Dilly family. Long time parts manager, Jim Bridger, passed away of natural causes just before Christmas. A service was held for family only out of respect for the deceased. I know of many of our customer’s who enjoyed stopping in to catch up with Jim and many others who had Jim on speed dial for finding parts on their old campers or conversion projects. His family at Pik-A-Dilly will miss him greatly as he still regularly stopped in for a coffee even after his retirement. RIP Jim, we are all better for having known you.
As always, if you have any comments, suggestions, or questions, please contact me at email@example.com. Have a great month, and happy start of camping season!!
