Intro/Letter From the Editor - Ryan Main - Sales

Now that we're back in the comfort of our building after the extremely successful annual show and sale, I would like to extend a many thanks to all of our customers and friends that stopped in to visit us in the Manitoba Room, as well as welcome our many new customers to the Pik-A-Dilly family!!

Just because the show is over, doesn't mean things have slowed down at all.  We are currently getting our newest line arriving daily (see Dave's article), and the parts and accessories department is stocking up for all your camping needs for the summer ahead.  There are many exciting reasons to stop in and visit us today.  We have great deals on all in-stock inventory, and a fully stocked parts department ready to load you up for the year to come.  You can also book any service work you want done before spring hits, or discuss extended warranties with Garry in the F & I department.  Don't let the weather stop you, we're thinking spring already, so should you!!

Just a reminder that we will soon be seeking reader input for the newsletter again.  So if you have a camping story you'd like to share, a question for a parts or service professional, a favorite recipe to share, a camping tip, or just general feedback, please contact me at rmain@pikadilly.com.  I look forward to reading your emails.

Dealership News - Don Main - General Manager

Showtime was a great success! Thanks to all that attended, and especially to those who purchased their new RV during the show. We gave away a lot of laptop computers, digital cameras, wine coolers, chairs, etc. to a lot of very happy people!

As a result of a successful sale, we have a lot of trades coming to the lot in the next little while. Our used inventory has been a little thin, so if you've been looking and couldn’t find the ideal unit, you may want to give us a call. Some of these units are in storage areas that aren’t easily accessible with all the snow and ice, so they may take some time to arrive on the display lot. We can, however, tell you all about them before they arrive!

I am also pleased to introduce the newest member of our Pik-A-Dilly team. David Hutchison joined our sales team in October and has spent the entire winter learning about the products that we sell, as well as dealing with the sales process and how to properly match buyers with the right product. David is a very personable young man that wants to make a career of the RV business and we are very happy to have him at Pik-A-Dilly. He sold his first units at our recent show and his customers loved him! You may hear from him soon. Why not drop in someday and meet him?

Sales Department News - Dave Shepherd - Sales Manager

First a hearty thanks to all those who attended our Annual Show & Sale.  Once again it was a roaring success from both an attendance and sales standpoint.

March will soon be upon us and Pik-A-Dilly RV Centre will be participating in two sales events.

The Annual Winnipeg RV Show and Sale will be held at the Winnipeg Convention Centre from March 5th to 8th.   This year we will be featuring our Triple E product in Winnipeg.  We will have Topaz travel trailers & 5th wheels, the Regency GT Motor Home and the Commander Motor Home on display.  Triple E is known for its quality of construction and its exeptional winterization.  Made right here in Manitoba, by Canadians for Canadians.

The weekend of Friday, March 20th & Saturday March 21st we will be holding an Open House to introduce the Starcraft Autumn Ridge line of travel trailers.  Built with families in mind, the Autumn Ridge has floor plans for those who want to travel from place to place as well as for those that are looking for the comfort and ease of seasonal camping.  Check out the floorplans and exceptional value of the Starcraft Autumn Ridge.

We invite all to stop and see us at the Winnipeg Convention Centre for the Annual RV Show or to our Starcraft Autumn Ridge Open House on our lot right here in Brandon.

Service Department News - Heather Arthurson - Service Manager

As time flies by, it is hard to believe we are nearly through February already. I just want to remind everyone that we are in the process of finishing off our winter work, and if you have anything that needs to be completed before camping season is upon us, give us a call. The sooner you are able to bring your unit in, the sooner we will be able to have your work completed and your unit back to you. I realize that a number of units are in storage or in the backyard surrounded by snow, but if you can get it into our shop we will do our best to have your unit ready for spring.

Just a reminder that Dometic has a recall on some models of refrigerators. If you call us with your model and serial number of your fridge we can let you know if your fridge is affected or not. If it is, we can take care of this issue so you don't have to worry about it come camping season.

Let us take your service problems off your hands and into ours.

Parts Department News - Jim Bridger - Parts Manager

Power on Demand

Having your own power supply lets you go wherever you want and stop whenever you please.

Many of the nice camping areas don't have enough serviced sites or simply have none at all. Having your own power solves this problem. The batteries on your unit limit you to running only some lights, your water pump and other 12v items. The battery will only last so long and needs to be recharged.

The Kipor 3000w generator set allows you to charge the batteries and also run large appliances like your microwave and air conditoner. Be ready for the up-coming camping season, and don't let non-service sites slow you down. Call us today with any questions on Kipor generators, or any other parts and accessory inquiries you may have.

Employee Profile - Jim Bridger

Jim Bridger.jpg

This month we are featuring Jim Bridger, our loyal parts and accessory store manager. Jim joined the company as a young fellow way back in 1973 as an apprentice in our service department. In due course, he moved into the parts department and eventually became responsible for the management of the department. Jim is very respected within the industry, and has a knack for being able to locate those 'hard to find’ parts. He is always on the lookout for new accessories to compliment RV’ers needs. If you don’t know Jim, (or Harry as he is affectionately called by some), be sure to come by and meet him some day. We’re proud to have him as a major contributor to our team. His experience is almost impossible to find!
