Intro/Letter From the Editor - Ryan Main - Sales
Well, the time is upon us once again, and the Pik-A-Dilly Annual Show and Sale is right around the corner. We will be moving our inventory down to the Manitoba Room in the Keystone Centre for four days beginning on February 5th through the 8th.
Inside this issue of the newsletter you'll find news about the upcoming show, including two brand new lines that will be debuting at the show. We will also have a parts booth with all the latest parts and accessories that you'll want and need for the upcoming camping season.
Be sure and stop by, bring your friends, your family, and the kids (they'll want to pick out their bunk beds!!). The weather is warm, and the deals are hot, so make sure you're there to take advantage of the sale pricing and be ready for the season ahead. After all, it's only 110 days until May long weekend!!

It’s Showtime! We’re all excited at Pik-A-Dilly as we prepare for our Annual Show and Sale. We will be opening at the Manitoba Room at the Keystone Centre from February 5th to 8th. Admission is free, so bring friends and family! This is an outstanding opportunity to browse indoors, compare floor plans and models at a time when shopping outdoors can be cold at best!
We work hard all fall and winter to find the best deals for our loyal customers. We commit to volumes, buy at discounts, arrange special options and generally work with our manufacturers to get whatever edge we can to pass on the “best deals of the year” which really kick-starts our season. Unfortunately, we are not often able to duplicate these offerings after completion of the show.
Our show marketing program will begin on January 30th so watch for details in your local paper as well as listen carefully to 101.1 The Farm (FM) and 880CKLQ (AM) radio.
Show hours are: Thursday, Friday and Saturday: 10:00AM – 10:00PM and Sunday: Noon – 6:00PM. Factory representatives will be available for consultation, so come and browse and remember that your trade is always welcome! We have even arranged special bank financing – available on site.
This has been an annual event for our company since the 1960’s and we look forward to it every year. Hopefully, you do too! See you at the Keystone Centre.

Time has gone by so quickly that, before we know it, camping season will be upon us. It is time, however, for our Annual Show & Sale in the Manitoba Room at the Keystone Centre, and we would like to invite everyone to stop by and check out the new RV's as well as all the parts and accessories in our parts display.
As the service manager I would like to extend an offer to our customers that purchase an accessory or part at our show a discount on labor of 10% if we are to install that part or accessory. Bring in your receipt and book an appointment before March 31st, 2009 to have the work completed and you will receive 10% off of the install price.
Just a reminder to all of our customers that have purchased trailers, or if you plan on purchasing at our 2009 Show & Sale, we do have an emergency trailer that we will put out on the road if an emergency arrises. We realize that there are a majority of our customers that are now on seasonal sites and really have no way to move their trailer. We are trying to make your camping season the best it can be, so if you have an emergency that needs repair, please give us a call and we'll arrange to help.

Employee Profile - Dave Shepherd
Many of you will recognize Dave Shepherd as a familiar face at Pik-A-Dilly. Dave began his career as a sales person – fresh out of University in spring of 1981 and took to the RV business like a duck to water! Dave loves to learn and over the years has participated in annual educational opportunities within the industry and has established himself as a mentor not only to our staff, but to other dealers as well. Dave is a “towing expert” and has regularly presented clinics to auto dealerships.
Dave is the Sales Manager at Pik-A-Dilly and works closely with our team to ensure that our customers are matched with the perfect RV for their needs.
Dave is a curler of some renown (at least he’ll tell you that) and has been very involved in the local scene as a volunteer during major curling events in the city and most recently was the president of the Brandon Men’s Bonspiel as well as the Wheat City Curling Club.
Dave is married to Diane and they have two daughters, Norah and Sarah. Dave and Diane are preparing for Sarah’s wedding, which occurs later this summer.
Campfire Recipe
Pizza Mountain Pie
Ingredients:
Two pieces of bread
Pizza sauce
Mozzarella cheese
Pepperoni or other pizza toppings.
Directions: Butter each piece of bread on one side. Place one piece of bread in one half of the cooker with the buttered side out. Place the sauce, cheese, and other goodies in the middle of the bread and place the second piece of bread over the top, buttered side out. Now clamp the cooker together and lock it. Place the cooker in the hot coals and rotate when you think one side is done.
If you don't feel like pizza, fill with ham and cheese and you get a hot Ham and Cheese Mountain Pie. You can also put peanut butter, marshmallow (cut up in pieces or whole), add a section of a Hershey Bar on top of the bread and you have dessert.
