Intro/Letter From the Editor - Ryan Main - Sales
With the snow melting and watering the lawn, you've likely given more than a fleeting thought to that first weekend at the campground pulling out the awning, unfolding the lawnchairs, and roasting hot dogs and marshmallows. We here at Pik-A-Dilly RV Centre are in the same frame of mind and have sharpened our pencils in anticipation of helping anyone looking to purchase a new or new to them RV find the best deal possible. With the newsletter achieving regular distribution, we have decided that each issue should have a theme to it. We begin that approach this month with a series of "what's new" articles. As always please let me know of any goings on in your area so we can add an events calendar to the next issue. Send your comments, questions, and event notices to rmain@pikadilly.com. We hope you enjoy the new format.
Dealership News - Don Main - General Manager
Spring is an exciting time of the year at Pik-A-Dilly RV Centre and for all of the manufacturers that we represent. It’s also a very busy time of the year for our entire staff. It's natural that most people don’t get too anxious to go camping until the weather is considerably warmer than it is currently, however, waiting for better weather before purchasing, ordering special accessories, or booking needed repairs places considerable pressure on our unit supply, parts supply, and available hours for repair work in our service department.
Often we get backed up as a result of a late spring and it appears that this year may be a late spring! If you have a need for parts or accessories, a new unit for the coming season or a little TLC from our service department, I urge you to call us soon in order that we can beat the rush and when the weather does break, you will be the first to the campground!
On another note, I have talked in a previous newsletter about the positive effect of the rise in the value of the Canadian dollar and how it has reduced the price of current new product. Those of you that are following the market will note that the dollar has experienced a little volatility in the last week or so. I am concerned that it may be searching for a lower benchmark, which will have a negative effect on future pricing. Our current inventory is strong but I’m not sure how long these prices can last. If you intend to shop this spring, sooner may be better than later in this case.
We’re all hoping for an early camping season!

Thanks to all of our customers from our extremely successful indoor show and sale held at the beginning of February. For those that could not make it in, and with the dollar holding strong, now is the time to take advantage, and book a viewing time. The introduction of the NEW Pilgrim and Cameo lines was a huge success. Complete comfort with updated features, including flat screen TV’s, electric power awnings (Cameo), and a superior, high gloss, gel coat, bonded fiberglass exterior proves to be what today’s consumers are demanding.
The 'Three Amigos' sales staff are making April 'Camping-Made-Easy' month. Call or email any one of us, tell us your needs, and let us go to work finding the RV that will make this summer one of your most memorable.
Service Department News - Heather Arthurson - Service Manager
Meet our service techinicians, this month, Norman Brown.
Norm first started at Pik-A-Dilly in January 2004. Norm has successfully completed the testing and job experience to achieve licenses for both gas and electrical requirements. He also performs the majority of the customer demonstrations of our new and used sold units. Customers find Norm very thorough and friendly on all customer demonstrations as he is always willing to help. Don’t be surprised if you bump into Norm at any of the campgrounds, as he enjoys camping as well. We are pleased to introduce to you, Mr. Norman Brown.
Parts Department News - Jim Bridger - Parts Manager
With the busy camping season coming up soon, most of the full service camping areas will fill up quickly. A couple of ideas to help you in a non-service lot; Portable waste tanks can save you the trouble of hooking your unit up to drainage tanks. These are available in a variety of sizes. Also, if you're worried about having enough power to get you through the weekend, adding a second battery will ensure you won't have to worry about that again. To keep these charged, a solar panel can supply you with the power you need. We can help you find the right size to suit your needs. Give us a call or drop in and let us help.
Happy camping!!

We will be displaying Fleetwood Folding Campers and Light Weight travel trailers at the show. Show discounts will be in effect as well as some specially packaged accessories.
